Publicly funded research program calls 2023 are open
The General Directorate of Healthcare Provision (DGOS) launches the 2023 research project calls for healthcare and healthcare provision.
These research project calls are the following:
- National Hospital Clinical Research Program (PHRC-N)
- National Oncology Clinical Research Program (PHRC-K)
- Interregional Clinical Research Program (PHRC-I)
- Translational Health Research Program (PRT-S)
- Translational Oncology Research Program (PRT-K)
- Health Economics Research Program, including Oncology (PRME)
- Healthcare System Performance Research Program (Preps)
- Hospital Nursing and Paramedical Research Program (PHRIP)
The research projects selected under these programs aim to improve patient care and enhance the healthcare system's performance. While all themes are welcome (the research project calls are "open"), three themes are considered a priority due to their importance in health promotion and prevention:
- mental health and psychiatry,
- various types of health prevention,
- and projects focused on pediatrics and child health, including pediatric psychiatry.
Since 2021, primary care research, which was a priority in these calls, has been handled separately in a specific research project call, as has research in the field of emerging infectious diseases since 2022. Projects aligned with government public health priorities or plans may also receive special attention.
Letters of intent must be submitted before October 5th, 23:55 for PHRC-N, PHRIP, Preps, and PRME. For the four calls managed in partnership – National Cancer Institute (Inca) for PRT-K and PHRC-K, National Research Agency (ANR) for PRT-S, and Interregional Clinical Research and Innovation Groups (Girci) for PHRC-I – the schedule and guidelines can be found on the partners' websites.
